Mouloudia Club d'Alger (Arabic: نادي مولودية الجزائر), commonly known as Mouloudia CA or MCA, is one of Algeria's most historic and prestigious football clubs, based in Algiers.

Founded in 1921, the club is widely referred to as "Amid El Andiya El Djazairia" (The Dean of Algerian Clubs), reflecting its status as the country's oldest football institution. MCA's traditional colours are green and red, symbolizing identity, resistance, and pride.

Mouloudia Club d'Alger currently competes in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1. The team plays its home matches at Ali La Pointe Stadium, a modern venue with a seating capacity of 40,000 spectators.

Club History

Originally established as Mouloudia Club Algérois and Mouloudia Chaâbia d'Alger, the club underwent several name changes throughout its history. Between 1977 and 1986, it was known as Mouloudia Pétroliers d'Alger, before officially adopting the name Mouloudia Club d'Alger in 1986.

Achievements

Mouloudia CA holds a special place in African football history as the first Algerian club to win a continental title, lifting the African Cup of Champions Clubs in 1976.

The club is among the most successful in Algerian football, with:

• 8 Algerian League titles

• 8 Algerian Cup victories

This record places MCA level with USM Alger, CR Belouizdad, and ES Sétif as the most decorated clubs in domestic competitions.
